Which are different types of domain zones?

According to the Niche and demand now IANA have now the list of different types of domain zones. Some, which are generic in nature, is known as the generic top-level domain name (gtld). For ex: .com (commercial), .info (information), .net (network) etc. They are some of the earliest introduced domain names. IANA introduced many new zones to meet the need as these zones were hitting the saturation point. Some of them are:
Sponsored gTLD  which includes .mobi, .aero, .asia, .xxx, .travel etc. Geo gTLD, which includes .tokyo, .london, .berlin etc. Country code top-level domain (ccTLD) is for affiliation to every country, island or a region for ex. .uk, .us, .cn, .ru etc.

There are many domain zones available, you can choose according to your need and value.
